So, most of the data is actually created outside of the firewall and thats why we analyze it in the cloud, and the next step would be, kind of the internet of things when 99% of data will be created outside of the firewall. Now we analyze the interactions of our customers data, in couple years we will be analyzing interactions with devices of our customers. And thats kind of the next evolution of big data.Martin: How did you acquire the first customers when you started out?Roman: How did we acquire customers Its interesting If you look at being entrepreneur, your first customer is almost like your VC. They almost get no benefit out of it, not even equity, and so the first customer needs to be somebody who really trusts you, who actually is so visionary that he wants to do better than just follow company. They want to help the whole industry, because its a lot of reward, working with a product thats half build, half backed, not ready, its actually a lot of work and even if you get it for free, its still difficult.Martin: How do you convince those guys?Roman: Again, its they need to be visionary, you dont need to convince them, they almost need to convince you. If youre looking at your product strategy for the next 3-5 years, what are the areas you would like to dig into?Roman: The next 3-5 years its going to be a lot about the volume of data, internet of things, unstructured data, more and more data is now being introduced by the way we interact, the visual and social and so on. Its also going to be about being able to find insights automatically, machine learning and so on. And the last one is ability to benchmark data automatically. If I tell you t hat you can close a deal in 20 days, its valuable, but if I tell you that your competitors close deals in 10 days, you know that youre not doing well. So, being able to kind of put data in perspective is going to be more and more important.Martin: When you look at the marketplace, there are several big data startups who are just trying to solve one problem and one industry, like, for example, for the finance industry and banking etc., there are several startups. And youre trying to solve this kind of big data problem for lot of functions, for lot of industries. What is the reason behind doing that? Would it be more adventurous for focusing only on one industry and solving their problems much better?Roman: I see that this is kind of, as I said, on one hand we are generic platform, but we really focus on sales and marketing executive. Thats where the most of the customer interaction actually is. And at the same time, kind of the cloud based platform that is open and has APIs and so on . We actually let our customers to decide and take us where they want to take us.Martin: Ok, great.MARKET DEVELOPMENTMartin: If you look at the market in general, what is the perspective on the major trends happening right now in the cloud industry?Roman: The cloud industry, first of all, big players are really investing heavily. This city was full of Oracle in the last couple days and Oracle is saying well yes, its not only Google and AWS, its also Oracle, Microsoft is big in the cloud and so on. Its really kind of industry that is maturing very fast and its being kind of endorsed by major players. In five years, we will not see the traditional IT organization as we see today. At the same time, you have to assume a lot of risk. Because you do something that nobody has done before you . So, its kind of that combination of being able to be all-in into an area or initiative that nobody believes in, thats kind of combination thats difficult for many people. Some people like to work hard, but they would not take the risk. Some people to take the risk but they are not willing to work hard. And you have to do both.Martin: What advice can you give somebody who says I want to start a company but I dont have an idea?Roman: Go and get a job and see where there are problems. Thatâ€™s how many large companies started, by somebody saying I worked for this large company, I was kind of disappointed by this missing piece of the process so I clearly saw there is something missing and I went and automated it. I think thats the safest way how to start a company, its to actually spot a problem in somebodys payroll.Martin: And what other advice could you give your son?Roman: For my son, for my son its all about spend a little time in school, learning not only how to play at computers , but how to read and how to develop some critical thinking, how to be creative and so on. I think the contributing factors are their environment, some not all are coming from single parent households and the value of education has to be examined. I think it is a sad state of affairs. Fortunately, there were many useful teaching materials (pictures, crafts, videotapes...) that the church supplied to me that helped me make the teaching lessons more efficient and interesting. I had to prepare everything for the story before Friday. That was where I started to take things seriously and started being mature. By doing this job, I learned to take on more responsibilities and be more organized. I had three students who were six years old. They were pretty good friends and always played together. The problem was every time I was talking to the class, they whispered to each other on their seats. Their action bothered the rest of the class. I warned them a couple of times but they seemed to ignore me. I was kind of frustrated at that moment. The Huns Before Attila The Huns first enter the historical record far to the East of Rome. In fact, their ancestors probably were one of the nomadic peoples of the Mongolian steppe, whom the Chinese called the Xiongnu. The Xiongnu launched such devastating raids into China that they actually motivated the construction of first sections of the Great Wall of China. Around 85 A.D., the resurgent Han Chinese were able to inflict heavy defeats on the Xiongnu, prompting the nomadic raiders to scatter to the west. Some went as far as Scythia, where they were able to conquer a number of less fearsome tribes. Combined, these peoples became the Huns. Uncle Rua Rules the Huns At the time of Attilas birth, c. 406, the Huns were a loosely organized coalition of nomadic herder clans, each with a separate king. In the late 420s, Attilas uncle Rua seized power over all of the Huns and killed the other kings. This political change resulted from the Huns increasing reliance on tribute and mercenary payments from the RomansÃ‚ and their decreased dependence on pastoralism. Rome paid Ruas Huns to fight for them. He also got 350 lbs of gold in annual tribute from the Eastern Roman Empire based in Constantinople. In this new, gold-based economy, people did not need to follow the herds; thus, power could be centralized. Attila and Bledas Rise to Power Rua died in 434 - history does not record the cause of death. He was succeeded by his nephews, Bleda and Attila. The brothers tried to extend their empire into Persia in the late 430s, but were defeated by the Sassanids. They sacked Eastern Roman cities at will, and Constantinople bought peace in exchange for an annual tribute of 700 lbs of gold in 435, rising to 1,400 lbs in 442. Meanwhile, the Huns fought as mercenaries in the Western Roman army against the Burgundians (in 436) and the Goths (in 439). The Death of Bleda In 445, Bleda suddenly died. As with Rua, no cause of death is recorded, but Roman sources from that time and modern historians alike believe that Attila probably killed him (or had him killed). As the sole King of the Huns, Attila invaded the Eastern Roman Empire, seizing the Balkans, and threatening earthquake-ravaged Constantinople in 447. The Roman Emperor sued for peace, handing over 6,000 pounds of gold in back-tribute, agreeing to pay 2,100 pounds annually, and returning fugitive Huns who had fled to Constantinople. These refugee Huns were probably the sons or nephews of the kings killed by Rua. Attila had them impaled. Romans Try to Assassinate Attila In 449, Constantinople sent an imperial ambassador, Maximinus, supposedly to negotiate with Attila over the creation of a buffer zone between Hunnic and Roman lands, and the return of more refugee Huns. The months-long preparation and journey were recorded by Priscus, an historian who went along. When the gift-laden train of Romans reached Attilas lands, they were rudely rebuffed. The ambassador (and Priscus) did not realize that Vigilas, their interpreter, had actually been sent to assassinate Attila, in collusion with Attilas counselor Edeco. After Edeco revealed the whole plot, Attila sent the Romans home in disgrace. Battle of the Catalaunian Fields The Huns sweep through Gaul was halted at the Catalaunian Fieds, in northeastern France. There, Attilas army ran up against the forces of his former friend and ally, the Roman General Aetius, along with some Alans and Visigoths. Unsettled by ill omens, the Huns waited until almost dusk to attack, and got the worse of the fighting. However, the Romans and their allies withdrew the next day. The battle was not conclusive, but it has been painted as Attilas Waterloo. Some historians even have claimed that Christian Europe might have been extinguished forever if Attila had won that day! The Huns went home to regroup. Attilas Invasion of Italy - The Pope Intervenes (?) Although he was defeated in France, Attila remained dedicated to marrying Honoria and acquiring her dowry. In 452, the Huns invaded Italy, which was weakened by a two-year long famine and epidemics of disease. They quickly captured fortified cities including Padua and Milan. However, the Huns were dissuaded from attacking Rome itself by the lack of food provisions available, and by the rampant disease all around them. Pope Leo later claimed to have met Attila and persuaded him to turn back, but its doubtful that this ever really happened. Nonetheless, the story added to the prestige of the early Catholic Church. Attilas Mysterious Death After his return from Italy, Attila married a teenaged girl named Ildiko. The marriage took place in 453Ã‚ and was celebrated with a grand feast and plenty of alcohol. After dinner, the new couple retired to the wedding chamber for the night. Attila did not show up the next morning, so his nervous servants opened the chamber door. The king was dead on the floor (some accounts say covered with blood), and his bride was huddled in a corner in a state of shock. Some historians theorize that Ildiko murdered her new husband, but that seems unlikely. He may have suffered a hemorrhage, or he could have died of alcohol poisoning from the wedding night revels. Attilas Empire Falls After Attilas death, his three sons divided up the empire (reverting, in a way, to the pre-Uncle Rua political structure). The sons fought over which would be the high king. Eldest brother Ellac prevailed, but meanwhile, the Huns subject tribes broke free from the empire one by one. Only a year after Attilas death, the Goths defeated the Huns at the Battle of Nedao, driving them out of Pannonia (now western Hungary). Ellac was killed in battle, and Attilas second son Dengizich became the high king. Dengizich was determined to return the Hunnic Empire to the glory days. In 469, he sent a demand to Constantinople that the Eastern Roman Empire pay tribute to the Huns again. His younger brother Ernakh refused to get involved in this ventureÃ‚ and took his people out of Dengizichs alliance. The Romans refused Dengizichs demand. Dengizik attacked, and his army was crushed by Byzantine troops under General Anagestes. Dengizik was killed, along with the majority of his people. The remnants of Dengiziks clan joined Ernakhs peopleÃ‚ and were absorbed by the Bulgars, ancestors of todays Bulgarians. Just 16 years after Attilas death, the Huns ceased to exist. The Legacy of Attila the Hun Attila is often portrayed as a cruel, bloodthirsty and barbaric ruler, but its important to remember that our accounts of him come from his enemies, the Eastern Romans. The historian Priscus, who went on the fateful embassy to Attilas court, also noted that Attila was wise, merciful, and humble. Priscus was amazed that the Hunnic king used simple wooden table implements, while his courtiers and guests ate and drank from silver and gold dishes. He did not kill the Romans who came to assassinate him, sending them home in disgrace instead. It is safe to say that Attila the Hun was a much more complex person than his modern reputation reveals.

At one point their tobacco company was a monopoly, but then others formed. When Doris was born she was referred to as the one million-dollar tyke. This became true when her father, Buck Duke died. The message conveyed in this novel is that money can buy most things, but it cannot buy happiness. Happiness is the one thing that Doris Duke craved and needed in her life more than anything else in the world. She was very lonely and trusted too many people. The most important lesson that her father taught her that she did not follow was not to trust anyone. The dedication of the book reads, Ã¢â‚¬Å"This book is dedicated to Doris Duke, who should have believed the person who told her Ã¢â‚¬Ëœnever trust anyoneÃ¢â‚¬â„¢Ã¢â‚¬ (iv). Doris wanted to be loved. She tried to find real affection from so many people, but found mostly fortune hunters. Doris also grew up alone and isolated. All of the people she allowed into her life did not love her for her, which she found out sooner or later, but later much more often than sooner. How Does Robespierre Justify the Use of Terror?

What began as a march to Versailles to acquire King Louis XVIÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s attention to end the grievances of the general population in 1789, soon spiraled into what became known as The French Revolution. With the execution of Louis XVI in 1973, this new Ã¢â‚¬Å"regimeÃ¢â‚¬ still had many problems to overcome including the continuing war that constantly needed men and money. The National Convention (which was created in 1792 as part of a campaign to convert France into a constitutional monarchy) amid high pressures, decided to set in place a centralized government which provided everyone with food, support and direct the war effort, and punish counterrevolutionaries (611). Headed by Maxmilien Robespierre, this new government was based on the principles of virtue, in which the government sought to educate and/or force the citizens to become virtuous. Inspired by enlightenment thinkers Montesquieu and Rousseau, he believed in the importance of a government by terror. Robespierre justified his beliefs by saying stuff like: Ã¢â‚¬Å"To punish the oppressors of humanity is clemency; to forgive them is barbarity. Ã¢â‚¬ So began what is now known as the Reign of terror. Robespierre strictly believed that Ã¢â‚¬Å"terrorÃ¢â‚¬ would set the citizens in place; with this terror, the public along with the upper class could be controlled. This so called terror was blanketed with the idea of nationalist pride- pride in their nation, backed by songs, posters, books, engravings, paintings, sculptures, and slogans (615). Robespierre justified his regime by constantly exclaiming that virtue was born from terror. Robespierre said, Ã¢â‚¬Å"The government in a revolution is the despotism of liberty against tyranny. Ã¢â‚¬Å" Although this quote seems confusing at first, further studied despotism is another word for tyranny or dictatorship, which basically means that a government in revolution is the tyranny of liberty against tyranny- the tyranny of freedom over tyranny. Before his reign, the guillotine was used for only nobles condemned to death and commoners were usually hanged, but when in power it was RobespierreÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s instrument of choice when it came to dealing with the people that disagreed with him or was a threat to the government. Also created was a Committee of Public Safety, which sent deputies on missions to purge unreliable officials and organize the war effort (612). Of course, with every regime, there is always a resistance. In this case, many were unhappy and showed their unhappiness. Soon it all turned into a civil war with the appearance of many counterrevolutionary armies and uprisings. Ã¢â‚¬Å"Across the country, the official Terror cost the lives of at least 40,000 French people, and as many as 300,000 (1/5 of the French people) went to prison as suspects between March 1793 and August 1794 (619). Robespierre was overthrown on July 27 of 1794 and was executed the next day on the guillotine. Some 150 years later, we saw more leaders who possessed the same ideologies: Stalin, who himself launched what was known as The Great Purge to get rid of people accused of treachery and treason in the Communist Party and Hitler, who rose to power by initially winning the hearts of people by starting a new movement totally different from the movement. Today, we see the same agenda on the minds of terrorists. Since a great deal of the human population have a greater understanding of democracy and many are democratic nations, it isnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t common to see a leader who will take complete charge, become a dictator and issue a reign of terror. There are, of course, many militant groups that form and commit acts of terrorism with the thought that Ã¢â‚¬Å"fear will instill virtue. Ã¢â‚¬ These days, people are more resistant to being forced to do something, even if it is violent. There will be a great resistance and the people who attempt to use fear to instill virtue will be put on most wanted and threat lists by many nations.

Received pronunciation, commonly abbreviated as RP, is a once prestigious variety of British English spoken without an identifiable regional dialect. It is also known asÃ‚ British Received Pronunciation, BBC English, the Queens English, and posh accent.Ã‚ Standard British EnglishÃ‚ is sometimes used as a synonym.Ã‚ The termÃ‚ received pronunciationÃ‚ was introduced and described byÃ‚ phoneticianÃ‚ Alexander Ellis in his book Early English PronunciationÃ‚ (1869). History of the Dialect Received Pronunciation is only around 200 years old, said linguist David Crystal. It emerged towards the end of the 18th century as an upper-class accent, and soon became the voice of the public schools, the civil service, and the British Empire (Daily Mail, October 3, 2014).Ã‚ Author Kathryn LaBouff gives some background in her tome, Singing and Communicating in English: It was standard practice until the 1950s for university students to adjust their regional accents to be closer to RP.
